Frontal system to bring rains, thunderstorms over 8 areas
The tail-end of a frontal system is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, and the Samar provinces, PAGASA said Tuesday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather agency warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.
Meanwhile, warm winds from the Pacific Ocean called the easterlies may bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Davao Region.
Flash floods and landslides are also available.
PAGASA said cloudy skies with light rains are also expected to prevail over the Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora due to the northeast monsoon.
It may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon.
Despite this, the weather agency said the monsoon has no significant impact on the country.
Easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The agency said flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 24.7°C at 5 a.m and a maximum temperature of 31.6°C at 3 p.m.—AOL, GMA News
