LPA to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over Mindanao

The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Mindanao, according to PAGASA on Tuesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers may prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to warm winds from the Pacific Ocean called the Easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 23.5°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 33.9°C at 3:50 p.m. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
