Thunderstorms, rain loom over Metro Manila due to easterlies

Easterlies and localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said Saturday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Easterlies are warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, it said.

Meanwhile, the PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden in Diliman, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 22.2°C at 7 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 34.8°C at 2:55 p.m. Joahna Lei Casilao/LBG, GMA News
