PAGASA: Light rains, cloudy skies over Metro Manila, rest of Luzon

The northeasterly windflow is expected to bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands, PAGASA announced Wednesday afternoon.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said the northeasterly windflow may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Despite this, PAGASA said the windflow has no significant impact on the country.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers may, meanwhile, prevail over Visayas and Mindanao due to localized thunderstorms.

The weather agency said flash floods and landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, a low pressure area being monitored by PAGASA was estimated at 720 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
