Metro Manila, rest of country will have isolated rains due to easterlies, localized thunderstorms


The easterlies will be affecting Luzon and Visayas on Wednesday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought about by the easterlies / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The weather bureau is also monitoring an active tropical cyclone, which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

As of 3 a.m., Tropical Storm Surigae is located 1,210 kilometers east of Mindanao with maximum sustained winds of up to 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of of up to 80 kph moving in the north northwestward direction at 10 kph.

The wind speed forecast in the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas will be light to moderate moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of Luzon and Visayas will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

In Mindanao, wind speed forecast will be light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
