Bising further weakens as it slows down over Philippine Sea

Severe Tropical Storm Bising further weakened as it slowed down over the Philippine Sea south of Okinawa Island, PAGASA announced in its 11 p.m. Severe Weather Bulletin.

As of 10 p.m. on Friday, the center of Bising was estimated at 920 kilometers east-northeast of extreme northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 125 kph and moving northeastward at 10 kph.

Tropical cyclone winds of at least strong breeze to near gale in strength extend outward up to 500 km from the center of the severe tropical storm.

PAGASA said Bising is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, Bising will bring moderate to rough seas over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon in the next 24 hours.

The agency advised mariners of small seacrafts and inexperienced mariners to refrain from sea voyage. -- BAP GMA News
