Easterlies to bring rains, thunderstorms over 4 areas

Warm winds from the Pacific Ocean called the Easterlies are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Eastern Visayas, Caraga, the Davao Region, and Palawan, PAGASA said Saturday.

In its 24- hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are also expected to prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the Easterlies.

Flash floods and landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.

The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 27.1°C at 6:10 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 35.7°C at 1:50 p.m. -MDM, GMA News
