ITCZ to bring scattered showers, thunderstorms over central, south Philippines

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected to prevail over the Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, and Mindanao due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone, PAGASA said Friday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said flash floods or landslides are also possible during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the easterlies and localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

PAGASA warned against possible flash floods or landslides during thunderstorms.

According to PAGASA, moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Metro Manila, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, and Quezon within the next two hours.

The weather agency said the same conditions are being experienced in Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, and Zambales, which may also persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.
