Cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of Visayas, Mindanao due to ITCZ


The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Visayas and Mindanao while the effects of the easterlies will be felt in the rest of the country on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the provinces of Negros Occidental, Leyte, and Southern Leyte will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ  with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to easterlies / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Wind speed in Mindanao will be light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Visayas and Southern Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to south direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
