Monsoon rains expected over Ilocos, 4 other provinces

Monsoon rains expected over Ilocos, 4 other provinces

The Southwest Monsoon will cause rains over the Ilocos Region and four other provinces on Sunday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

The affected areas include Batanes, Apayao, Cagayan and Zambales.

These will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may occur due to the rains which may be moderate to at times heavy.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will also be affected by the Southwest Monsoon and localized thunderstorms.

These areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolate rain showers or thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may be possible during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, in Visayas, Mindanao, Romblon and Masbate, cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may be expected due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

Flash floods or landslides may possibly result from moderate to at times heavy rains.

Coastal waters will be moderate in the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon.

The seas will be slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
