The Southwest Monsoon is affecting Luzon on Monday and will bring rains over the Ilocos Region, National Capital Region and the rest of the country, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.
The Ilocos Region, Zambales and Bataan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may result from moderate to at times heavy rains.
NCR and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the monsoon and localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may also occur during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough, with waves up to 2.8 meters tall, in the northern and western sections of Luzon.
The seas will be slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
