Southwest Monsoon to bring rain over parts of Luzon

The southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region and Zambales, PAGASA said Monday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon or localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible due to severe thunderstorms.

Further, the northern and western sections of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will prevail over the rest of the country, PAGASA said. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
