Southwest Monsoon to bring scattered rains over Ilocos, four provinces

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) affecting Northern and Central Luzon will bring scattered rains over the Ilocos Region and four provinces on Sunday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan, aside from Ilocos Region, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate or heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the monsoon and localized thunderstorms. PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may result from severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be rough in Northern and Central Luzon with waves reaching 3.1 meters tall.

As for the rest of the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
