PAGASA: ITCZ to bring rain, thunderstorms over NCR, 5 areas


The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers, and thunderstorms over the National Capital Region and five other areas, PAGASA said Saturday.

According to the 24-hour forecast, other affected areas include CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao.

PAGASA warned against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods and landslides are also possible.

According to PAGASA, the synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25.4°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 31.6°C at 1:50 p.m. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LBG, GMA News
