ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao


The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Saturday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Mindanao, Central Visayas, Western Visayas, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the ITCZ/localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon is light to moderate moving eastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

For Visayas and Mindanao, wind speed forecast is also light to moderate moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
