LPA to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Mindanao


Mindanao will experience cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by a Low Pressure Area (LPA) on Saturday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

The weather bureau also warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in affected areas during severe thunderstorm.

As of 3 a.m. on Saturday, the LPA was estimated at 230 kilometers east of Davao City.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon and Visayas will have light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Wind speed forecast in Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the northwest to southwest direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
