ITCZ to bring rain over western Philippine areas –PAGASA

The intertropical convergence zone will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan, PAGASA said Sunday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rain.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Further, the entire country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions. — DVM, GMA News
