ITCZ to bring rain showers, thunderstorms over NCR, 7 areas
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila and seven other regions, according to PAGASA on Saturday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said other areas affected include Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, and the Davao Region.
Wind speed forecast for the rest of the country will be light to moderate, while the coastal waters will be slight to moderate, the PAGASA added.
Residents in affected areas were warned against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, ITCZ and localized thunderstorms may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over the rest of the country.
Flash floods and landslides are also possible.
The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32°C at 1:50 p.m. —Joahna Lei Casilao and Richa Allyssa Noriega/LBG, GMA News
