LPA to bring scattered rains over Caraga, Davao

A low pressure area located east of Davao City will cause cloudy skies, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga and the Davao Region on Sunday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) meanwhile is currently affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms. PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

At 3 a.m., the LPA was located at 515 km east of Davao City and embedded along the ITCZ.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
