LPA to affect Mindanao, Eastern and Central Visayas –PAGASA

A low-pressure area will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao, the Eastern Visayas, and Central Visayas, PAGASA said Sunday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said the LPA was located 185 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur embedded along the intertropical convergence zone affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao at 3 p.m.

PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Further, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal conditions would prevail over Palawan and the rest of the country. — DVM, GMA News
