PAGASA: 22 areas under Signal No. 1 as Lannie heads toward Cebu
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 was raised over 22 areas as Tropical Depression Lannie headed toward Central Cebu, weather bureau PAGASA said Monday.
In its 2 p.m. severe weather bulletin, PAGASA said the following areas under TCWS No. 1 and may experience strong winds are:

- The southern portion of Masbate (Pio V. Corpuz, Cataingan, Palanas, Dimasalang, Uson, Mobo, Milagros, Mandaon, Esperanza, Placer, Cawayan, Balud)
- the southern portion of Romblon (Cajidiocan, San Fernando, Magdiwang, Santa Maria, Odiongan, Alcantara, Ferrol, Looc, Santa Fe, San Jose)
- the southern portion of Oriental Mindoro (Roxas, Mansalay, Bulalacao, Bongabong)
- the southern portion of Occidental Mindoro (Sablayan, Calintaan, Rizal, San Jose, Magsaysay)
- the northern portion of Palawan (El Nido, Taytay, Dumaran, Araceli) including Calamian and Cuyo Islands

Lannie made landfall over Mahanay Island, Talibon, Bohol at 12:30 p.m. and over Banacon Island, Jetafe, Bohol at 12:45 p.m.
As of 1 p.m., the center of Lannie was estimated over the coastal waters of Jetafe, Bohol, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph.
It was moving in a westward direction at 20 kph.
PAGASA said Lannie may make another landfall in the vicinity of northern Palawan or Calamian Islands on Tuesday morning before emerging over the West Philippine Sea.
It is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday morning.
The next SWB is expected to be issued at 5 p.m.
Hazards affecting land, coastal areas
From Monday to Tuesday morning, moderate to heavy with, at times, intense rains are expected to prevail over the Visayas, MIMAROPA, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, including TIcao and Burias Islands, and Dinagat Islands.
Meanwhile, light to moderate with, at times, heavy rains may prevail over CALABARZON and the rest of the Bicol Region and Mindanao.
“Under these conditions, scattered flooding (including flash floods) and rain-induced landslides are possible especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards,” PAGASA said.
Lannie will also bring moderate to rough seas over the country’s coastal waters, especially in areas under TCWS No. 1.
“These conditions are risky for those using small seacrafts. Mariners are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions,” it said. — RSJ, GMA News
