Northeast monsoon to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas


The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rainshowers over parts of Luzon and the Visayas on Friday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Southern Quezon will have cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The wind speed in Visayas and Mindanao will be light to moderate moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
