A Low Pressure Area (LPA) is forecasted to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Visayas, Masbate, Palawan, Zamboanga del Norte, and Misamis Occidental, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during moderate to at times heavy rains.
The weather bureau is currently monitoring two LPAs with the northeast monsoon affecting Luzon.
As of 3 a.m. on Wednesday, one LPA was estimated at 70 kilometers west of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental while another LPA was estimated at 1,095 kilometers east of the Visayas.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The wind speed forecast for northern and eastern sections of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas is moderate to strong moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
