Cloudy skies, isolated rain over east Visayas due to LPA –PAGASA

A low-pressure area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies and rain over the Eastern Visayas, while the northeast monsoon will continue to affect Northern Luzon, state weather bureau PAGASA said in a 4 p.m. Saturday forecast.

The LPA was 185 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

According to PAGASA, the LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Eastern Visayas with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rain.

The Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative, and Ilocos Regions will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

Wind speed forecast for Luzon and the Visayas will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Meanwhile, Mindanao will also experience light to moderate wind speeds, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

PAGASA said sunrise would be at 5:53 a.m. on Sunday. — DVM, GMA News
