Northeast monsoon to bring cloudy skies, light rains over Batanes, Babuyan Islands

The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands, PAGASA said Monday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather bureau said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies or localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will be experienced over extreme northern Luzon.

Further, PAGASA said the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
