PAGASA: Shear line to bring cloudy skies, rains over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao


The Shear line (Tail-end of the Frontal System) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao on Tuesday afternoon, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

According to the 24-hour public weather forecast issued at 4 p.m., PAGASA also said northeast monsoon or amihan will dampen Batanes and Babuyan islands.

As for Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, it will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains brought about by the northeast monsoon.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of Luzon and Visayas will have light to moderate wind speed moving northeast to east  while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Also, Mindanao will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction  while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.—Consuelo Marquez/LDF, GMA News
