ITCZ to bring scattered rains over Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan
Zamboanga Peninsula and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Sunday due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.
Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate to heavy rains.
Batanes and Cagayan meanwhile will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and the shear line or tail-end of a frontal system.
The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Amihan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Landslides and flash floods may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Northern Luzon with wave heights reaching 4 meters.
Elsewhere in the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
