Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan, Sorsogon, Masbate to have scattered rains due to ITCZ

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Monday over Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan, Sorsogon, and Masbate, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

These areas may have flash floods or landslides during times of moderate to heavy rains.

Batanes and Cagayan meanwhile will have cloudy skies with rains due to the shear line or tail-end of frontal system currently affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon.

As for Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, these areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Northern Luzon, with waves reaching up to 4.0 meters.

Elsewhere in the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Sunrise was at 5:57 a.m. Sunset will be at 5:24 p.m. —KG, GMA News
