Cloudy skies with rains over northern, central Luzon due to northeast monsoon


The northeast monsoon will be affecting northern and central Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Palawan and Mindanao, PAGASA reported.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains brought about by the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

The Zamboanga Peninsula as well as Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized Thunderstorms / ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to a variable direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
