ITCZ affecting Palawan, Mindanao; northeast monsoon to bring rains over Luzon
Palawan, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone, PAGASA said Wednesday.
In its daily weather forecast, PAGASA said the northeast monsoon will also bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan, Kalinga, and Apayao.
PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Localized thunderstorms and the ITCZ will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over the rest of the country.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.
Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will be experienced in Northern Luzon, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will prevail over the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
