Amihan, ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rain to parts of Luzon, Mindanao
The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is set to bring rain showers to areas in northern and Central Luzon, while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Mindanao, weather bureau PAGASA said on Wednesday.
According to PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies with rains due to northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Sorsogon, Isabela, Aurora, and mainland Cagayan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley and of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Northern and Central Luzon and Visayas is moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
