Shear line to bring scattered rain showers over Caraga, Davao Region

The shear line or the tail end of a frontal system is affecting the eastern section of Mindanao on Monday and will bring scattered rain showers over Caraga and the Davao Region, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

These areas will also have cloudy skies and thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate to heavy rains.

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) meanwhile is affecting Luzon and Visayas and will cause cloudy skies and light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.

Meanwhile the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Luzon, Visayas and the eastern section of Mindanao, with waves reaching as high as 4 meters.

As for the rest of Mindanao, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
