Cloudy skies, scattered rains over eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao due to LPA, shear line


The Low Pressure Area (LPA) early Tuesday morning was estimated at 1,055 kilometers east of Mindanao with the shear line affecting the eastern section of Mindanao and the northeast monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas, according to the report posted by PAGASA.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA / shear line with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon and Visayas will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The eastern section of Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northwestward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the north to northwest direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
