Cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of Visayas, Mindanao due to the shear line
The shear Line on Thursday will be affecting the eastern section of Visayas while the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon, according to the early morning forecast of PAGASA.
Eastern Visayas, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, and the northern portions of Cebu and Negros Occidental will have cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flooding or landslides during heavy to at times intense rains.
Sorsogon, Masbate, Misamis Provinces, Camiguin, Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and the rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms also due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorm with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The wind speed forecast for Luzon and Visayas is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The eastern section of Mindanao will experience moderate to strong moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
