PAGASA: Northeast Monsoon to bring rains over Luzon; Shear line affecting Visayas

Visayas, Caraga, and Northern Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line, PAGASA said Thursday.

In its daily weather forecast, PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flooding or landslides during moderate to heavy with, at times, intense rains.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Aurora and Quezon.

The same weather disturbance will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Moreover, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Mindanao due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will be experienced over Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao, while the rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
