Shear line to cause scattered rain showers over Calabarzon, 4 other areas

The shear line or tail-end of a cold front is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon on Sunday and is expected to bring scattered rain showers over Calabarzon and four other areas, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

Calabarzon, the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Marinduque and Romblon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of flooding or landslides during times of moderate to heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains meanwhile due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) which is affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.

As for the rest of the country, these areas will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao, with waves possibly reaching up to 4 meters tall.

The seas will be slight to moderate in the rest of Mindanao.
