PAGASA: Northeast Monsoon, shear line to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of the country

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Quezon, Laguna, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon, PAGASA said Monday.

In its daily weather bulletin, PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flooding or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

The Northeast Monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon, Cordillera Administrative Region and CALABARZON.

Partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will be experienced over Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will prevail over the rest of Mindanao.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
