ITCZ to bring rains over Mindanao —PAGASA

PAGASA on Wednesday said that the intertropical convergence zone will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao, parts of which were hit by Typhoon Odette last week.

In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather bureau advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Further, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail over extreme northern Luzon, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will be experienced over the rest of the country. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
