Shear line to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of Visayas, northeastern Mindanao


The shear line will be affecting Visayas and northeastern Mindanao on Tuesday while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Palawan and the rest of Mindanao.

Meanwhile, PAGASA also reported that the northeast monsoon will be affecting the rest of Luzon.

Eastern Visayas, central Visayas, Caraga, northern Mindanao, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Aklan, and Capiz will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Palawan and the rest of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of MIMAROPA and Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact. 

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

The rest of Western Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
