Cloudy skies, light rains over Ilocos, 5 other provinces due to the northeast monsoon
The northeast monsoon to bring cloudy skies and light rains over parts of Luzon on Wednesday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and southern Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the easterlies and Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) with possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains.
Ilocos Provinces, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Visayas, the rest of Mindanao, and the rest of Palawan will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The wind speed forecast for Luzon is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.
