Amihan affecting Luzon; localized thunderstorms to dampen rest of the country
Cloudy skies and rains will affect Luzon caused by the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan while localized thunderstorms will dampen the rest of the country on Tuesday, weather bureau PAGASA said.
In its 4 p.m. daily weather forecast, Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, and Ilocos Norte will experience light rains while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.
For the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains will be experienced because of localized thunderstorms. PAGASA also warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed over northern Luzon will be moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.—Consuelo Marquez/LDF, GMA News
