Cloudy skies, scattered rains to prevail over Mindanao due to shear line

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Mindanao due to shear line (tail-end of frontal system) while the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will affect the rest of the country, weather bureau PAGASA said on Saturday.

Based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light rains caused by Amihan.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Meanwhile, the wind speed forecast for the rest of the country is moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The sun will rise at 6:25 a.m. on Sunday. — Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
