Cloudy skies, scattered rains to prevail over parts Luzon due to shear line, Amihan

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over parts of Luzon due to the shear line (tail-end of frontal system) and Northeast Monsoon or Amihan, weather bureau PAGASA said on Friday.

Based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, Bicol Region, Laguna, Quezon, and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, and the Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with rains due to Amihan.

Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Visayas, Mindanao, and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the wind speed forecast for the rest of the country is moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The sun will rise at 6:25 a.m. on Saturday. — Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
