PAGASA: LPA's trough to bring cloudy skies, rains over Vis-Min

The trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region, PAGASA said Sunday.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said the LPA was spotted 625 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur at 3 p.m.

PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail over the eastern section of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, while moderate winds and waters will be experienced over Northern Luzon.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters. —LBG, GMA News
