Cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of Bicol, Visayas, Mindanao due to LPA


Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over parts of Bicol region, Visayas and Mindanao due to a low pressure area (LPA), PAGASA said on Tuesday.

As of 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the LPA was estimated to be located 65 kilometers  North of El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, the state weather bureau added.

MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and BARMM will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan.

Meanwhile, the wind speed forecast in several parts of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao is moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
