LPA, shear line to bring cloudy skies, rains over Palawan, 4 provinces
As of 3 a.m. on Thursday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 190 kilometers south southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan with the shear line affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon, PAGASA reported.
Palawan, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA / shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon and the eastern section of central Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving eastward as coastal waters remain slight to moderate.
