Northeast monsoon to bring rains over parts of Luzon

The northeast monsoon (Amihan) is affecting Luzon on Sunday and will bring rains over some areas, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon and Calabarzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Meanwhile, the easterlies are affecting the rest of the country and will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may result after severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Luzon, Visayas and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao, with wave heights possibly reaching up to 4 meters.

The seas will be slight to moderate in the rest of Mindanao.
