Trough of the LPA will bring cloudy skies, rains over Caraga, Davao Region, parts of Visayas
The northeast monsoon will be affecting extreme northern Luzon on Thursday while the trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) will affect the eastern section of Mindanao, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Caraga, Davao Region, Cebu, Bohol, Leyte, southern Leyte, Samar, and eastern Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Batanes will have cloudy skies with light rains due to northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao is moderate to strong moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
