Shear line to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Cagayan Valley, Aurora


The shear line (Frontal System) will be affecting the eastern section of northern Luzon on Tuesday while the northeast monsoon will affect the rest of northern Luzon, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Cagayan Valley and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The eastern section of central and southern Luzon, of Visayas, and of Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
