Trough of LPA, shear line to bring rains over parts of Luzon, Mindanao

The trough of a low-pressure area and the shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga, northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon, PAGASA said Tuesday.

In its daily weather bulletin, the state weather bureau advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region due to the Northeast Monsoon.

The Northeast Monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will be experienced over northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon, of Visayas, and of Mindanao, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will prevail over the rest of the country. — Ma.
